JOB DESCRIPTION
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Schedule all T-38 and Heavy Aircraft in Flight Scheduling Application (FSA). Schedule T-38 Aircraft Movement requests from NASA Maintenance.
- Schedule T-38 Test Flights in FSA.
- Update all currency requirements through Flight Records and Currency System (FRC) for all flying personnel.
- Update and maintain Training Records and Flight Records for all flying personnel.
- Update flight information as needed in Flight Data Capture System. (FDC).
- Schedule T-38 CRM/EP Simulator training for AOD IPs and Astronauts.
- Schedule airspace request for W147C, Physiological Refresher Course, and Water Survival Refresher training.
- Verify accuracy of flight data and fuel slips.
- Create and maintain the flight manifest for NASA JSC Gulfstream aircraft.
- Coordinate with US Customs on flights returning from overseas.
- Submit Quarterly Individual Flight Hours Reports.
- Update and maintain all Duty Office Work Instructions.
- Maintain software updates to iPads applications.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School Diploma
Year(s) of Experience: 5+ years of experience providing real-time flight scheduling support in a flight scheduling environment.
Required Skills and Traits
- Ability to share knowledge with others for flight scheduling training.
- Ability to recommend changes to existing processes and policies in Aircraft Operations Division Duty Office.
- Strong office skills and the ability to work with Microsoft Office elements and popular web-based applications.
- Ability to use Flight Scheduling Application (FSA) program and the Flight Records and Currency (FRC) program within NASA Aircraft Management Information System (NAMIS) (training provided).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to handle tasks with little to no direction.
- Ability to project a professional and cooperative demeanor.
- Strong Microsoft Office Excel, Outlook and Word skills.
- Knowledge of NASA/JSC environment and processes is a plus.
